- The slender foam cores are woven right into the fabric. Z-fibers fully integrate them with the face skins.
- The 100s of slender flexible foam cores move freely like the yarns, providing a deeply conformable structure.
- The Z columns become rigid once cured which ties and braces the skins and carrying the loads, instead of the foam. The foam can be cured out using any number of methods with no structural loss!
Applications 
- Curved parts difficult to make with balsa or rigid foams
- Lightly loaded parts like car hoods, ducts, engine covers, doors
