100Ft Hovercraft

100Ft Hovercraft   Kurt Peterson and his team are breaking the mold using a combination of advanced composite materials, including ZPLEX™ and 3WEAVE® by 3TEX.

transoniteBlast Resistant Panels

Blast panels are constructed with Martin Marietta Composites proprietary panel technology, TRANSONITE® using 3D woven fabrics.

ARMOR
3TEX, Inc. engineers and manufactures high performance, multi-hit, multi-level armor systems using patented three-dimensional fabrics and composite systems.  3TEX provides superior armor solutions by combining high performance fibers with our advanced manufacturing processes.
3WEAVE®

3TEX is the world leader in the manufacture of patented 3WEAVE® three dimensional preforms.  The thickness and conformability of 3WEAVE® provides improved performance and cost benefits for composite products produced using vacuum infusion, resin transfer molding, and pultrusion processes.

Z-Plex
ZPLEX™ is one of 3TEX's newest product offerings. The Conformable Total Sandwich System provides structural skins,1000's of slender compliant foam cores, tied and spaced by fiber Z-columns, all woven as one in a single step up to a full inch thick. Thanks to the many independent foam cores, it is as conformable as its 3WEAVE® cousins. The spaces between the cores speed resin flow in vacuum infusion. Once cured, the Z columns become rigid, taking all the loads instead of the foam.
3BRAID™

The world's most capable 3-D rotary braiding machine with fully automated, computer-controlled operation, is close to completion at 3TEX. The 9-module braider will employ up to 576 braided yarns and 144 axial tows and will be capable of producing relatively large, variable cross section preforms for composites. Shape of continuous preform can be changed on the fly, by sequentially utilizing different pre-programmed, computer-stored braiding patterns. These unique manufacturing capabilities, combined with high production speed of the braider, may manifest a breakthrough in industrial 3-D braiding.
